Terracon's Atlanta office recently moved to Lawrenceville. The office opened in 1999 providing geotechnical services, Phase I and II environmental site assessments, construction materials engineering and testing, property condition assessments, and cultural resources (archaeology and historic preservation) services. The two Atlanta offices of Terracon better serve our clients in the 26 counties of metro Atlanta. Our projects are diverse, ranging from multi-family, commercial retail, medical offices, and hospitals to historic district nominations, Brownfields, and disaster recovery.

Ethanol Production Plant – Camilla, GeorgiaGeolocation: 31.2313, -84.2105

Terracon provided subsurface exploration and geotechnical engineering services for the ethanol production plant in Mitchell County, Ga. The plant has a planned production capacity of 100 million gallons per year. The project included a DDG storage building, grain receiving structure, tank farm, fire water/process water storage tank, cooling tower, water treatment building, wet cake storage slab, an energy center, process building, a distillation area, fermentation tanks, beer well tank, an office building, and storage silos. Highlands of Cheshire BridgeGeolocation: 33.749, -84.388
Terracon was hired to perform due diligence work and provide a geotechnical exploration for a proposed 4-story post-tensioned parking deck and 4/5 story split-level multi-family structure in Atlanta, Georgia. The site had previously been considered for development by multiple companies but due to poor soil conditions had not been purchased. Terracon's "thinking outside the box" and experience with a wide variety of foundation and soil improvement systems allowed the site to be developed, provided valuable cost savings to the Owner and shortened the construction schedule.

Piedmont Newnan HospitalGeolocation: 33.3807, -84.7997
The Piedmont Newnan Hospital project consists of an eight-story main hospital building located in Newnan, Ga. In addition the main hospital building, auxiliary development plans include free-standing 3- to 4-story medical office buildings (MOB) and two multi-story parking decks. Terracon conducted preliminary geotechnical and environmental services on two properties being considered for the proposed hospital. Our data along with others was used to determine which site was ideal for the proposed development.
