Terracon has extensive experience developing and managing stormwater compliance programs under the  Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) regulations in Texas and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) across the US.  Whether you need authorization to discharge under the Construction General Permit (TXR150000), the Industrial Multi-Sector General Permit (TXR050000), the Industrial Stormwater General Permit for Concrete Ready Mix Plants (TXG110000) or the  Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Permit (TXR040000), Terracon can assist you in obtaining permit coverage, developing and implementing your Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) or developing and implementing your Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP), no matter what industry or the size of your operations.

Terracon has developed and implemented a monthly stormwater implementation program  that satisfies  applicable TPDES/NPDES regulations. Some of the tasks included in this program are, annual compliance evaluation, annual stormwater training, numeric effluent limitation, benchmark sampling, reporting, quarterly or monthly visual monitoring and inspection, and assistance with state, county or city inspections.

Terracon’s services range from preparing the initial stormwater permit application including filing the Notice Of Intent (NOI), SWPPP development/updating, stormwater training, SWPPP site inspections, stormwater visual assessments, stormwater sampling, annual reporting, and other requirements as applicable to your site(s).

Terracon can also assist with individual permit applications if your operations do not qualify for coverage under one of the general permits.

Industrial Stormwater Implementation Program

Terracon has developed a Stormwater Compliance Implementation program applicable to state/federal regulations and  can customize it to site specific/client specific facilities/operations.  Obtaining authorization under the  Multi-Sector General (MSGP) Permit and developing a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is not all that is required by the Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES).

Every permit holder is required to implement the Best Management Practices (BMPs) outlined in their SWPPP, perform quarterly inspections and visual monitoring, collect and analyze samples and report them to the state and local agencies and more. Another essential element of stormwater compliance is recordkeeping  to demonstrate that requirements have been met.
