Choosing the right site is a first crucial step and our innovative digital tools deliver the fast, accurate insights you need to make informed decisions. Pivvot streamlines site selection by examining millions of curated data records to produce our Desktop Constraints Analysis (DCA). Stage1 draws from more than 60 years of proprietary geotechnical and environmental data to produce a report of expected conditions.
Together, these tools allow us to tailor efficient, cost-effective solutions specific to solar site needs. Additional testing methods like corrosion data, field electrical resistivity, and thermal resistivity bring more site-specific insights. We use data collected in the DCA and Stage1, combined with the local knowledge and expertise of our national network of environmental scientists, to find the path of least environmental resistance and meet environmental planning requirements.
A deep understanding of the soil characteristics at a project site is essential to long-term project success and the key to potentially saving millions on construction. Access to decades of subsurface data and collaborating with our in-house structural and construction technicians help us devise a strategic plan of action based on soil and rock mechanics.
Savings can accumulate when proving steel pile embedment depths can be reduced. We have a team of more than 40 experienced engineers and scientists dedicated to pile foundation load testing. We provide turnkey pile load testing services – including procurement, installation, and testing of test piles. This enables us to complete full “Issued for Construction” design packages for soil racks or trackers – or provide data reports for design completion.
