FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Terracon Foundation announced a $50,000 endowment to Colorado State Universitythat will be used to establish a geotechnical engineering scholarship within the university’s Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering.
“Annual distributions from the endowment will provide financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in engineering disciplines with a priority on areas aligned with Terracon’s areas of expertise such as geotechnical,” said Lindsay Gardner, senior marketing specialist in Terracon’s Fort Collins office. “The scholarship is intended to reduce financial barriers, attract high-performing students to geotechnical fields, and promote student success through degree completion.”
“Terracon has hired and mentored CSU geotechnical engineers for years, and this endowment extends that commitment to students just getting started. On behalf of our faculty and students, thank you to the Terracon Foundation for an investment that will pay forward for decades,” said Joseph Scalia IV, Ph.D., associate professor, Civil and Environmental Engineering at CSU.
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Colorado State University is internationally recognized for world-class engineering research and education.
