Terracon Names Kristopher Hauck to Senior Geotechnical Consultant

Role to ensure technical excellence for our clients in the Pacific Northwest

SEATTLETerracon, a leading national consulting engineering firm comprised of engineers, scientists, architects, facilities experts, and field professionals, announces Kristopher Hauck, P.E., has been named senior geotechnical consultant for the company’s Pacific Northwest locations, including Seattle, Tacoma, and Tri-Cities, Washington; and Portland, Oregon.

“With more than 25 years of experience in geotechnical engineering in Washington and Oregon, Kristopher is uniquely qualified to provide Terracon’s clients with a high level of service as we continue to grow,” said Ty Alexander, P.E., Terracon vice president and director of regional operations for the Pacific Northwest.

The strategic change is designed to support client service, innovation, and project delivery as the company continues to grow its presence in the Pacific Northwest. In his new role, he will focus on projects for public and private clients including transportation, public parks and remote areas; structures for civic, industrial, office mixed-use/multifamily, healthcare, education, digital infrastructure, retail and commercial uses; landslides, power generation and transmission and more.

“Kristopher is an expert in the variable subsurface conditions encountered in Washington and Oregon,” said Tracy Grover, P.G., senior vice president of operations for Terracon’s Rocky Mountain Division. “We are excited to make his expertise available to a variety of clients in the Pacific Northwest.”

Most recently, Hauck served as operations manager for Terracon’s office in Portland, Oregon. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, with an emphasis on geotechnical engineering, from Montana State University. Hauck is a licensed professional engineer in Washington and Oregon and is involved with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Public Works Association (APWA), and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).
