Rathin Nair Named National Manager of AI and Data Science

ATLANTA – Terracon, a leading national consulting engineering firm comprised of engineers and professionals in a variety of related disciplines, has named Rathin Nair, Ph.D., as national manager of AI and data science. In this new role, Nair will oversee efforts to incorporate artificial intelligence throughout the company to enhance efficiency and fulfill client requirements.

After working in the field for several years, Nair joined Terracon in 2024. Prior to his current position, he served as a senior data scientist and AI lead, further developing PAVE-AI, Terracon’s proprietary product for pavement condition assessments. He is a seasoned AI researcher with extensive expertise in machine learning across multiple domains, recognized for fostering significant collaborative relationships.

Nair earned a Bachelor of Technology in computer science from Model Engineering College, Kerala, India, and a Ph.D. in computer science, specializing in computer vision and machine learning, from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York.
