Terracon Foundation Awards More than $301,000 in University and Community Grants

OLATHE, Kan. — The Terracon Foundation today announced the award of $301,368 in grants and scholarships to 18 universities and 29 nonprofit organizations throughout the U.S. Established as the community investment arm of Terracon, the foundation has granted over $5 million to community organizations, universities, scholarships for dependents of employees, and disaster relief efforts.

“The Terracon Foundation comes alongside our employee-owners to invest in the local students, schools and non-profit organizations important to them,” said Derek Koller, CIH, CHMM, chair of the Terracon Foundation and manager of the company’s Tucson office. “With a focus on three interconnected areas – education, the built and natural environment, and equity – the Terracon Foundation helps employees give back to organizations that encourage young minds, provide support in times of need, and help build vibrant, sustainable communities.”

The Terracon Foundation presented a total of $230,000 to 18 universities:

  • Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas
  • Thomas More University, Crestview Hills, Kentucky
  • University of Colorado Denver, Denver, Colorado
