Terracon Names Michael Bobinchuck National Manager of Nondestructive Testing Services

OLATHE, Kan. – Terracon, a leading national consulting engineering firm comprised of engineers and professionals in a variety of related disciplines, has named Michael (Mike) Bobinchuck as the national manager of nondestructive testing services. In this new role, Bobinchuck will lead a team of highly qualified individuals to help Terracon grow its Nondestructive Testing (NDT)/Steel services by providing clients with high-quality inspections through training, certifications, and leading-edge technology.

With more than 20 years of technical experience, Bobinchuck has received training from the American Welding Society (AWS), American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), American Petroleum Institute, and the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power School. His extensive project experience for commercial, industrial, and federal clients includes airports, historic building seismic upgrades, large distribution centers, university facilities, railroad bridge construction, ports, and more.

“With the anticipated growth in steel services nationwide, Terracon is poised to become a leader in the structural steel industry, encompassing buildings, bridges and shop inspections. Additionally, Terracon has the potential to expand into the refinery business, opening a new industry for Terracon and accelerating our growth,” Bobinchuck said.

Currently based in Salt Lake City, Bobinchuck holds numerous certifications, including Certified Welding Inspector, ASNT Level III in Ultrasound, Visual, and Magnetic Particle Testing, AWS D1.8 seismic UT certified, Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing, Nondestructive Evaluation, ASNT Central Certification Program Level II Inspector in Visual Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, and Dye Penetrant Testing, and National Association of Coatings Engineers Level I Coatings Inspector. He has worked as a senior construction inspector and is also affiliated with the American Society for Nondestructive Testing, the American Welding Society, and the American Institute of Steel Construction.
