Terracon Names Aaron Mann Chief Legal Officer

OLATHE, Kan. – Terracon, a leading national consulting engineering firm comprised of engineers, scientists, architects, facilities experts, and field professionals, announces Aaron Mann has been named chief legal officer.

The strategic change is designed to support client service, innovation, and project delivery as the company continues to grow its presence nationally. Mann is responsible for the company’s legal, compliance, risk management, and ethics programs. Most recently, he served as general counsel for risk management.

Before joining Terracon eight years ago, Mann was a partner with the national law firm Husch Blackwell, working in both their Kansas City, Missouri and London, England offices. His practice focused on commercial litigation, and he served as the head of the firm’s services throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Mann began his career as a judicial clerk for Judge Gary Fenner in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri in Kansas City. Mann graduated magna cum laude from Creighton University School of Law and earned a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Graceland University.

Mann has served in various leadership roles in the community and industry. He is the board president of the International Relations Council of Kansas City and chair of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Geoprofessional Business Association. He is also an active member of the Legal Counsel Forum of the American Council of Engineering Companies and the Association of Corporate Counsel. He is a past board member of the International Trade Council of Greater Kansas City, and the World Trade Center of Kansas City. Mann has given presentations on a variety of topics at more than 50 conferences within the A/E/C industry, including events held by the American Concrete Institute, the American Council of Engineering Companies, the American Society of Civil Engineers, Engineering News-Record, the Geoprofessional Business Association, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and more.
