
Terracon's San Antonio office was established in 2004 and formerly known as Drash Consulting Engineers. Chester Drash formed the company in 1992 with a staff of five. That grew to about 110 employees when Drash joined forces with Terracon. San Antonio professionals provide geotechnical, environmental, construction materials, and facilities services. The office serves a diverse set of markets and has done an extensive amount of work in government (military base work), energy, and oil and gas.

The Agriscience Magnet Program at the James Madison High School campus is a model for urban agriculture education. With more than 123,000 square feet of new sustainable construction, this project includes a wind turbine, green roof, FSC Wood, a water well, a fish pond and pier, solar-heated radiant floors, and a 60,000-square-foot instructional building. This project is seeking LEED Gold Certification. Terracon provided geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials engineering and testing services for the project.

The merging of Wilford Hall Medical Center (WHMC) and Brooks Army Medical Center (BAMC) will provide one campus known as the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC). In total, more than 200 clinics and support functions will move during the transition to SAMMC.
