Terracon's Raleigh office was selected by the City of Raleigh to provide pre-demolition asbestos survey services, asbestos abatement design services, and asbestos abatement project monitoring services, geotechnical services, environmental services, Special Inspections, and construction materials engineering and testing for the new Clarence E. Lightner Public Safety Center project. Terracon worked with the City of Raleigh on the demolition of the old Raleigh Civic and Convention Center, providing pre-demolition asbestos survey services, asbestos abatement design services, and asbestos abatement project monitoring services. Terracon also worked with the City on the construction of the new Raleigh Convention Center, providing Phase I environmental site assessments, Phase II limited site investigations, geotechnical investigations, Special Inspections, and construction materials engineering and testing services for the site.

Terracon is currently performing geotechnical services, asbestos abatement and air monitoring, construction materials engineering and testing and Special Inspections. The Wake County Justice Center is set to be a 595,625 square feet structure consisting of eleven stories with two levels of below grade parking.
