 Terracon provided geotechnical engineering, materials testing and other consulting services to the Lifetime Fitness facility in Beachwood, OH.

Terracon's Cleveland office provided geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials engineering and testing and inspection services for the development of a 16-acre parcel of property and construction of a new 112,100 square feet, two-story recreation facility. The property is situated on land that formerly contained buildings and structures for the U.S. Army NIKE missile facility. Geotechnical engineering services were retained to drill 35 test borings to obtain information relative to the subsurface stratigraphy and groundwater conditions. Laboratory testing was performed on recovered samples to evaluate the physical and engineering properties of the strata and developed the design and construction recommendations. On-site materials engineering and testing services followed with a team approach during the construction phase and provided testing and inspection. Utilizing Terracon's CMELMS Electronic Report Management System, Terracon's project management was able to expedite deliverables electronically on a timely base. Testing summary logs, deficiency logs and the ability to track the various types of site inspection fees by tasks were part of the valued services offered.
