OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Terracon has been awarded the Community Neighbor of the Year by the Neighborhood Alliance of Central Oklahoma. The award recognizes Terracon for its support and generosity to achieve Neighborhood Alliance of Central Oklahoma’s mission to create safe, attractive, and healthy neighborhoods throughout Central Oklahoma by working with neighborhoods and government officials to provide a community in which residents are all proud to live and work.
“We are so proud of the work Terracon has done in the Oklahoma City community. They have been so generous with their time, their facility space, and their dollars,” said Amanda Olszewski, Development Coordinator, Neighborhood Alliance of Central Oklahoma. “Because of their commitment to our common missions, Terracon has impacted thousands of lives in Oklahoma City by improving the neighborhoods in which we live. We are so grateful for their dedication to community and for being an example of a great Community Partner.”
Last year, Terracon provided a community grant through the company’s corporate philanthropy initative, Terracon Foundation, in support of the Neighborhood Alliance of Central Oklahoma’s Building Better Neighborhoods training workshop. Terracon has also provided on-site meeting and storage space at the company’s facility to accommodate the organization’s growing needs. Terracon also made the organization the beneficiary of the company’s Second Annual Client Appreciation Golf Tournament. Funds raised from the event totaled more than $4,000.
