BISMARCK, N.D. – Edward Pettit has joined Terracon as environmental department manager. In his new role, he will be developing and managing a brand new environmental department in Terracon’s (formerly Midwest Testing Laboratory’s) Bismarck, N.D. office.
Pettit has more than 22 years of comprehensive experience in environmental management and compliance, including both private and public-sector tenure providing compliance oversight for integrated industrial manufacturing operations and environmental program management for state resource agencies. He has established a broad regulatory expertise with an extensive working knowledge of a variety of environmental and safety regulations. He has coordinated a number of large environmental review projects (EISs), major and minor source permitting initiatives, and directed comprehensive compliance programs across hundreds of facilities spanning multiple states. For seven years, he served as corporate environmental director an industry leading construction materials and heavy construction company with operations in 18 states.
Pettit holds a master’s and master’s degree in geography: Environmental Planning & Management from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale.
