NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Tony Kiefer is now a consultant in the geotechnical department in Terracon’s Naperville, Illinois office. He performs principal review of complex geotechnical and civil engineering projects and specializes in high rise deep foundations, analysis of embankments and slopes under static and seismic loading conditions, design of retention walls, forensic analysis, and Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) exploration capabilities.
With more than 23 years of experience, Kiefer has been the peer reviewer or geotechnical engineer for some of the tallest buildings in the world. He has been responsible for design of explorative programs and load test programs, supervision of support personnel, and writing and reviewing of reports with engineering recommendations for footings, piles, caissons, mats, barrettes, retaining walls, bluff stability and failure analysis for hundreds of projects.
Kiefer is a registered Professional Engineer in Illinois. He also holds a master’s in geotechnical engineering and a bachelor’s in structural engineering from the University of Illinois.
