COLUMBUS, Ohio — Gene Geiger, P.E., has joined Terracon as a geotechnical transportation specialist. He will be based out of Terracon’s Columbus office while serving its Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia offices. Geiger will facilitate among transportation agencies and various partners in the pursuit and execution of state, county, and local projects. Geiger will also act as a senior project manager and provide project management and technical support for local and national transportation projects.
Geiger has more than 34 years of geotechnical engineering experience, mostly as a geotechnical engineer and administrator for the Ohio Department of Transportation. He headed the agency’s Office of Geotechnical Engineering, overseeing geotechnical work by in-house staff and managing work performed by consultants.
Geiger earned a Master of Science in geotechnical engineering from Ohio State University, where he had previously earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering. Geiger has authored numerous technical publications. He is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers and the OSU Civil Engineering Alumni Association.
