PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Terracon Foundation awarded Nathanael Berrian a scholarship to assist him with his first year at Pensacola State College.
The Terracon Foundation provides the children and dependents of Terracon employees the opportunity to continue their education through scholarship assistance. The foundation presents scholarship awards up to $2,000 per student with total scholarship awards up to $25,000.
Berrian is the son of Terracon employee, Susan Berrian, who is a corporate services representative in the Pensacola, Fla., office. Berrian said that the scholarship will help her son explore the field of architecture, an area that he has been interested in over the years.
“During his four years of drafting and technology classes in high school, he has developed an interest in creative home designs and a desire to explore architecture as his field of study,” Berrian said. “He recently won second place in the Home Builders Association of West Florida home design competition for Escambia County high school students.”
The younger Berrian thanked the foundation and also expressed interest in learning more about the field of architecture.
“I am really grateful for this scholarship opportunity,” Berrian said. “As I start my college career, I look forward to expanding my knowledge of architectural studies.”
The Terracon Foundation was established in 2008 with a goal of investing more in the community.
