ASFE Elects David Gaboury President

Terracon’s President and CEO David Gaboury, P.E., will serve as president of ASFE/The Geoprofessional Business Association for 2011-2012. ASFE is a not-for-profit association of geoprofessional firms that employ 150,000 individuals worldwide.

Established in 1969, ASFE’s purpose is to “maximize the geoprofessions’ importance and value to the marketplace.” Geoprofessional firms provide geotechnical, geologic, environmental, construction materials engineering and testing and related professional services.

Gaboury is a licensed professional engineer with more than 30 years of experience in environmental, geo-environmental and water resources engineering. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School, Advanced Management Program. Gaboury received a master’s degree in civil engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Locally, Gaboury is a member of the Board of Trustees for Olathe Medical Services, Inc. and the 2011-2012 Olathe Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
