Scobee Planetarium Dome and Challenger Learning Center | San Antonio College, Texas | Building Enclosure Consulting Design plans included renovation for half of the planetarium dome to be inside the new building and the other half exposed to the elements as well the expansion of the facility from 3,950 to 21,519 square feet by adding a new wing called the Challenger Learning Center. Throughout the project, Terracon observed and reported on the conformance of building enclosure systems during installation of exterior rain-screen wall systems, masonry cladding, glazed curtain wall systems, window systems, waterproofing systems, and roofing. “Terracon provided technical expertise in reviewing, and recommending the appropriate products and strategies that contributed to a successful project.”-Gary Verlinden, Project Manager, Parsons
