This project involved replacing existing storm and sanitary sewers and repaving the street in an older section of Mobile, Ala. The Mobile Area Water and Sewer System (MAWSS) has an ongoing program to upgrade the older sanitary and storm sewers throughout the city. On many of the projects, such as this one, the City of Mobile coordinates with MAWSS and provides funding to pave the entire street instead of the more traditional method of just repaving the sewer cuts.
