The Rail Runner Design-Build project consisted of the construction of approximately 18 miles of a new commuter rail from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. As part of the design-build team, Terracon was selected to provide geotechnical engineering design and quality control testing throughout the project. Terracon performed a detailed geotechnical analysis to evaluate the soils such that steeper slopes could be utilized on the project.
In 1996, Terracon opened the Albuquerque office. Local clients have included the Albuquerque Public Schools, New Mexico Department of Transportation, USDA, and Public Service Company of New Mexico (Electricity/Utility Power Company).
The Albuquerque office provides a wide range of services including geotechnical engineering design services, construction materials quality control, soil analysis, environmental testing, and more. Contact the Albuquerque Terracon office for more information about their services.
