The new McAllen Federal District Office, located on a 4.1-acre tract of land in McAllen, Texas, was built in 2006-2007. The project consisted of the construction of a four-story office and single-story warehouse. Terracon provided a Phase I environmental site assessment for the site prior to construction along with geotechnical engineering services that included conducting exploratory borings, associated laboratory testing, and pile load testing. Construction materials engineering and testing services included soil monitoring/testing, foundation installation monitoring/testing, reinforcing steel observations, and full time masonry observation with mortar and grout testing.
