Terracon was selected by Parsons Brinckerhoff to provide materials and facilities services for the $650 million, 643,000 square-foot expansion of the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport North Terminal. Terracon will complete the QA testing and facilities building enclosure services for the terminal expansion and four complementary project, including a pump station, cable loop, radar tower, and support buildings for an additional $250,000. When completed in 2018, the new North Terminal expansion will have two concourses with 30 arrival and departure gates including new stores and restaurants, a new hotel, 2,000 parking spots, and consolidated security checkpoints and ticket counters. Terracon is teamed with a local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) testing firm, and was selected based on our airport and local experience and the positive working relationship with the local Parsons Brinkerhoff project manager.
