Terracon performed grading operations of approximately 265,800 cubic yards of soil to increase wetland area from nine to more than 20 acres at the Yosemite Slough Restoration in San Francisco. This included nesting islands, nursery acres for fish, interpretive trails and center, and 2.5 acres of recreation area. Terracon provided quality control services including inspection of cut and fill materials, wetland top soil and upland fill and cover. The team also conducted compaction testing to verify wetland soils met critical minimal and maximum density requirements and specifications.
