East Carolina University Dowdy-Ficklen StadiumGeolocation: 35.6127, -77.3664

This stadium is the fourth largest football stadium in North Carolina. In 2010, the stadium held record attendance of 50,410 football fans due in part to the most recent $20 million, 7,000 seat, east end zone expansion project. The expansion construction was completed within eight months and just in time for the football season. Restroom and concession stands were built under this new section and above the east end zone, the existing scoreboard was removed and replaced with the 22nd largest scoreboard in the NCAA. Another scoreboard was built on the west end zone in front of the Murphy Center. Terracon performed the geotechnical engineering and was on site daily to perform construction material testing and special inspection services.
