
Terracon's Springfield office opened in 2007 to provide reliable and responsive services to our southwest Missouri clients. Since then, our presence in the region has doubled.
Ty Alexander, P.E., manages the office of 10 employees. The Springfield office covers southwest Missouri and portions of southeast Kansas including Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. The Springfield office also has a construction service satellite location in Joplin. The office is currently staffed to provide geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials engineering and testing services.

Terracon was contracted to provide geotechnical engineering and construction material testing services for the 4th MEB Project at the southeast corner of Nebraska and Big Piney at Fort Leonard Wood Army Base, Missouri.
The project consisted of the construction of 4 structures totaling over 130,000 square feet in plan view. The project also included the construction of an extensive concrete parking area designed to U.S. Army Corp of Engineers requirements for support of military vehicles. Terracon currently provides various environmental and site redevelopment consulting services in connection with the City of Springfield Brownfields Program. The City successfully partnered with Terracon to perform approximately 50 environmental assessments and related projects within the Jordan Valley Creek Corridor. This project previously received national recognition as a Brownfields Phoenix Award Winner.

Terracon is responsible for providing construction materials engineering and testing services for the recreational facility at Missouri Southern State University. The facility is a 65,000-square-foot addition to an existing student union that features basketball courts, an elevated jogging track, fitness studios and locker rooms.
