In 1998, the Oxford, Ala., office of Gallet & Associates was formed and in 2009 Gallet merged with Terracon. The Oxford office staff consists of one professional geologist, five construction materials engineering and testing field testing technicians, a laboratory manager, a corporate services representative, and an office manager. The Oxford office project experience is varied between construction materials engineering and testing, environmental, and geotechnical projects. We have an outstanding record of continuing growth, of expansion in state of the art services offered, and of providing quality services to our clients. In 2008, AOD Federal Credit Union began evaluating the need for a branch office location in Oxford, AL. Terracon had previously performed a limited geotechnical investigation on the property that was acquired. The site was located on low land and an alternate foundation design was recommended (rammed aggregate piers). Terracon performed monitoring of the rammed aggregate piers as well as construction materials engineering and testing services for the project.

Terracon currently provides various environmental and site redevelopment consulting services in connection with the City of Talladega Brownfields Program. The City is partnering with Terracon to perform Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments and related projects within the Battle Street Corridor from the courthouse square west to the Talladega College Campus and AIDB Fort Lashley Campus.

Jacksonville State University New Dormitory and Stadium ImprovementsGeolocation: 33.8137, -85.7614

In 2008, Jacksonville State University determined its need for a football stadium expansion, as well as additional on-campus housing. Terracon was contracted to perform a geotechnical investigation for the site. A deep foundation system (drilled piers) was recommended for the project. Terracon performed monitoring of the drilled piers as well as construction materials engineering and testing and IBC Special Inspection services.
