The Naperville office opened in 1989 as an environmental office, and in 1990 expanded to include geotechnical and materials testing. Now, the Naperville office offers geotechnical, environmental, industrial hygiene, and construction materials engineering and testing services.The laboratory is certified with IDOT and with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. In 2006, the Naperville office expanded and opened the downtown Chicago office.

Ragnar Benson Construction (RBC) was awarded the design-build contract to construct the $370-million, 785-acre Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Joliet Intermodal Terminal.
