In 2008, Terracon was retained to provide geotechnical services to help renovate and expand Arrowhead and neighboring Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. The Arrowhead expansion and renovations included a new four to five-story concrete structure with below grade areas to be added around the existing stadium. kcICON is a $245-million "interstate connections" project upgrading I-29/35 to six lanes from just north of the Route 210 / Armour Road interchange to Independence Avenue.  The project includes an additional southbound lane, numerous on-ramps and off-ramps reconstructed, and several interchanges reconfigured. An "iconic" cable-stayed bridge, expandable to eight lanes and capable of accommodating a future bicycle/pedestrian facility, is the key feature replacing the existing Paseo Bridge. Keystone XL TransCanada PipelineGeolocation: 29.718, -94.995

Terracon was retained to provide geotechnical engineering and drilling services for the Keystone XL TransCanada Pipeline project. Phase 1 of the project consisted of 12 pump stations and two terminals from Steele City, Neb. to Nederland, Texas. To complete the project in the time required, all projects were performed simultaneously using engineers and drill-rig crews from Terracon's Lenexa, Lincoln, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Lufkin offices.
