The Fort Lauderdale office opened its doors in 2006. The office serves the South Florida region, from North of Palm Beach County all the way down to the Florida Keys, and west all the way to Naples. Our CMET field technicians hold certifications by ACI, NICET, and CTQP (the Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT's) Construction Training Qualification Program). Our in-house laboratory is accredited with AASHTO, Construction Materials Engineering Council (CMEC), FDOT, and US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Environmental capabilities include Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, asbestos, mold, and UST assessment/closure.  Geotechnical capabilities include subsurface explorations, pavement investigations, and in-situ load testing.  Construction materials testing capabilities include special inspections, soil, concrete, asphalt, and structural steel testing and observation services.

As part of the City of Lauderhill Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), the City was approved to receive funding for assistance from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). The objective of Terracon's services was to assist the City of Lauderhill with identifying recognized environmental conditions (RECs) in connection with the sites, assist with the completion of Form HUD-4128, and conducting environmental assessment and compliance findings for the NEPA related laws.…

South Dade Wastewater Treatment PlantGeolocation: 0, 0

Terracon is providing Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department with concrete and earthwork testing for the new filter buildings at the South Dade Wastewater Treatment Plant. Terracon was awarded a $300,000 testing contract for the $600-million project which includes upgrades to the plant to produce highly treated wastewater that will then go through the water reclamation process of microfiltration, reverse osmosis, and the addition of hydrogen peroxide and ultraviolet disinfection. It will increase the peak flow capacity of the South District Wastewater Treatment Plant by 27 percent.  The…
