In 2005, the Conroe office opened as a satellite office to Houston to help better serve the clients in this area. There are currently 20 employees who provide geotechnical, drilling, and construction materials services throughout Montgomery, Walker, and Polk counties in Southeast Texas. We are a proud member of the community, volunteering for Adopt-a-Highway, contributing to several local high school scholarship foundations, and assisting students each year for various science fair projects.

Terracon provided geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing services associated with the Phase 1 development of an approximately 186-acre site. The geotechnical services included borings and soil sampling to identify the soil and groundwater conditions at the site. Terracon's geotechnical report provided recommendations with respect to foundations, site preparation, paving design recommendations and design parameters for the detention pond. Terracon provided geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing associated with the development of an approximate 23-acre site in The Woodlands, TX. During construction Terracon performed materials testing, from the Conroe office, which included soils, proof-rolling of the subgrade, testing fill material in the building pads and testing the backfill for the underground utilities.

The geotechnical investigation that Terracon performed consisted of drilling and obtaining soil samples, performing the required laboratory geotechnical testing, and providing a final report of the findings. Our report contained foundation, site preparation and pavement design recommendations. Due to the presence of silty sands at the surface, Terracon provided recommendations to address the possibility of encountering soft and/or wet subgrade conditions during construction to minimize any potential delays.
