State Highway 45

Terracon is providing construction materials testing services for State Highway 45, part of TxDOT’s Central Texas Turnpike Project, which involves building almost 68 miles of toll roads in the Austin area at a proposed cost of $3.2 billion.

State Highway 45 consists of sixteen miles of four-lane roadway extending from Interstate 35 to State Highway 183 on the north side of Austin, Texas.  Right-of-way acquisition, design and construction are in progress on various segments to fast track the overall project.

Terracon is a member of the Construction Management team, lead by PBS&J, responsible for all quality assurance test-ing of soil, concrete and asphalt materials.  In addition to ACI and NICET certifications, Terracon received Texas Turnpike Authority/Texas Department of Transportation certifications to be qualified to provide QA services on the project.
