Multiple Telecommunications Projects

Terracon provides geotechnical and environmental services for Bechtel Corporation to support the nationwide network upgrade and expansion of a major U.S. telecommunications company. To date, Terracon has performed work on over 1,200 cell tower sites and nearly 600 Phase I environmental site assessments for Bechtel. With our nationwide network of offices, Terracon provides Bechtel with significant experience in providing fast-track services to telecommunications clients. Most of these projects occur on quick turnaround time schedules and require Terracon to handle multiple sites simultaneously. Terracon provides communication tower clients with the ability to meet those short deadlines and provides timely, practical and accurate information for them to make informed decisions.

Previously, Terracon worked with Bechtel to provide geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing services for the design and construction of approximately 500 monopole tower sites in the western United States. In order to meet the system initialization deadlines, the team members provided fast-track services for the client. The PCS network client added online services in 12 states as construction was completed.
