Terracon’s Bill Johnson Begins Term as President of SMPS Northern New England
MANCHESTER, N.H. – June 8, 2016 –
Terracon, a leading national engineering consulting firm with a personal and uncompromising commitment to everyone going home safe to their family each and every day, is proud to announce that Bill Johnson, client development manager for the New England region, will serve as president of SMPS Northern New England (NNE) for the organization’s 2016-2017 fiscal year.
SMPS NNE is the local chapter of a larger national organization, the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and serves over 50 members in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. SMPS Boston is the local chapter of a larger national organization, the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). SMPS was established in 1973 as the only professional society devoted to the marketing of professional services for businesses in the built environment. It is the mission of SMPS Boston to be the primary resource for education, team building and strategic and marketing information for SMPS members and others involved in the built environment.
A member of SMPS since 2010, Bill previously served as Director at Large and Program Committee Chair.
In addition to his role on the SMPS NNE Board of Directors, Bill is actively involved with the Association of Physical Plant Administrators (APPA) where he serves on the national board of directors as the business partner representative for the US, the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the International Facilities Managers Association (IFMA) the Society for College & University Planners (SCUP), and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
He holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Northeastern University and is a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) through the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). He has authored and published a book entitled “Business Development for Professionals.”
